 Pastor Van Hoose, a native of Champaign County, received his academic and theological training at Ohio Christian University (formerly Circleville Bible College), Malone College, Asbury Theological Seminary, and Ohio University.  His ministry represents a broad range of Christian service, including pastoring, counseling, evangelistic work, teaching, and college administration.  He became Senior Pastor of the Urbana Church of Christ in Christian Union in 2000, where his wife, Esther, serves as church secretary. 

Pastor David and Esther have two sons, Tim and Terry, and two grandchildren, Lauryn and Lynsay.

 Assistant Pastor, Tom Amlin, is also a native of Champaign County.  He received his academic training at Urbana University and Ohio Christian University.  His ministry includes many years of pastoring, youth work, support staff member at OCU, as well as a World Gospel Mission Commissioned Missionary to native Americans living in Arizona. 

Tom and his wife, Jackie, returned to Urbana in 2003 and he became Associate Pastor in 2005.  They have two children, Kelly and Todd and a granddaughter, Alexis.

Tonia Snyder, a native of Champaign County and graduate of Graham High School, became Director of Children's Ministries in October 2005.  She received a degree in Early Childhood Education from Edison State Community College in 2004.  Her professional career includes Substitute Head Teacher at Edison Child Development Center, Teacher Assistant at Lawnview Child and Family Care Center, and Teacher at Overfield Early Childhood Program.  She is currently employed at Madison-Champaign Educational Service Center as Pre-School Supervisor Assistant.

Her fine church staff, well-organized lessons, and personal love for God and children has enabled her to experience significant numerical and spiritual growth throughout the children's department.

Tonia is married to Daniel Snyder and they reside in St. Paris, Ohio.
